Unforgettable Moment

My unforgettable moment Is probably when I visited Japan back in 2014. It was a school trip. So I was still in the 8th grade. I went there with my friends from the same grade and my friends from the 7th grade. A few teachers also joined us on the trip to supervise us, although we hired a tour guide.
It was the end of the year which was December. Japan has 4 seasons and December is winter. We departed from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport and arrived in Haneda Airport at around 2 AM. It was 2 degrees celcius there and it was freezing because we weren’t used to the weather. We stayed in Tsukuba.
We were constantly taken to a university called Gakuin University. There, they gave us lessons about their culture, language, etc. They even thaught us how to make origami. We went to JAXA museum which was like NASA but in Japan. We also went to the malls around Tsukuba like Ijas and QT mall.
One of the best parts is the homestay. So we stay with a famiy in Jpaan for 2 days. My family there was so kind to me and my friend. Even though it was only for 2 days, but we already become a famliy. They would take us to the mall, play, and even stay at home and still had fun. At the last day of our homestay we were sad because we had to leave our new families.
The other best part is when we went skiing. But unfortunately, I didn’t ski but I had fun by playing slide with my bestfriend Fathiyya. We had fun, we laughed and we drink together. It was agreat day. The cool part is that everytime we finished an activity, they took us to a restaurant and we could take enything we want. Yum.
We actually went to another scientific museum but it wasn’t really long. We also went to Akihabara and Harajuku in one day and it was really fun. I spent most of my time in Harajuku and shop there. We took the Shinkansen (fast train) and it was like you’re going with a plan but it was a train because it was so smooth and fast.
Another place that we visited was the Disney Sea. It was REALLY FUN. Although I only tried like 4 or 5 rides and still be considered lucky due to the never ending queue. It was really fun. We almost got lost at Disney Sea but found our way back eventually.
So, we went almost everywhere by bus and when we were driving in Tokyo, we drove by Tokyo Tower. We also stopped to see Skytree. Tokyo was beautiful with the tall building and the trees. It was an aesthetic to me.
Remember when I say we were constantly taken to Gakuin University? Yeah, there we had a tea ceremony and we had to use kimono. It was really tight. The tea ceremony was quite interesting. We had to bow while we’re sitting and made our own matcha tea.
After all those stuff, we finally said ‘goodbye Japan’ and flew back home.

MY FAVOURITE PLACE

My favourite and also meaningful place is my home. At my home I could do lots of things I couldn’t do anywhere else like sleep with more comfort, study, eat, etc. The reason why I picked my home as my favourite place is because I  have been in this place since the day of my birth.

My house has 6 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 2 living rooms, a kitchen a dining room, a library, a frontyard, a backyard, and a garage. My favourite room is my bedroom becauss I could do many things like eat, sleep, play my phone watch movies, etc. The best part is that my room connects to my bathroom so I don't really have to go anywhere when I got food, my laptop and my phone.

Everybody has their own favourite place, mine is my house. These favourite places is where we could express ourselves more.

WHY I CHOOSE SMAN 3?

A lot of people have been wondering about every 3 Senior High School student’s reason of why they chose this school. They really do have reasons but sometimes they (me) are too shy or too embarrassed to say why because the reasons are too long and complicated. Well, right now, I’m about to tell you why I chose SMAN 3.

It had been my family’s dream to have me become a student of the school. All we know that it is the best school in Bandung our hometown. So I worked hard to get good score and I finally did. I had settled my heart to apply for this school and hoped I could get in. I DID IT. So I have practically achieved my goal.

So I got in. But what we didn’t know were the struggles to keep up with the lessons and other activities. But everybody keeps on telling to just enjoy it so I am trying. All we have to do is have patience.

Megantara

September 10th was the day Megantara cultural festival of 3 Senior High School being held. I was so excited to join this event because we will see a couple of famous bands. There were lots of activities going on. I wasn’t a part of the committee but I was the coordinator of my class’ fashion show. So I had to come early to manage the models, Dira, Ryu, and Timo. I did the girl’s make up and I was pretty nervous about it since the other classes were hiring make up artists. But it  turned out that my friends loved it and even though our class didn’t win the fashion show, our effort and togetherness count.Anyway, the festival went on and Tiloe’s Theater and few guest stars performed on stage. They were great! I was amused of how they (Tiloe’s Theater) could manage to do such amazing performance of the drama on stage. The show was amazing and also a proof of creativity. The moment we had been waiting for finally arrived at around 6 PM. The main guest stars, The Changcuters and RAN. The famous bands everybody was talking about. I was lucky to get a place in the front line honestly, but it wasn’t pleasant standing in between people who were also wanting to see the show clearer. The first performance by The Changcuters was ON FIRE. Like, everybody was singing and dancing together. I was pretty tired to be stood there though. My legs were sore but it was definitely worth the pain. The event ended by RAN and was very touchy and sensitive because of the lyrics of the songs. I went home as soon as their performance ended. I was really tired to be honest but I definitely was have fun from start to end.

Bandung Sea of Fire

In October 1945, NICA (the Indian soldiers that worked for England), and England were giving terrors to the citizens of Indonesia. Until november 1945, they were still giving out terrors and invading Bandung, Indonesia. The citizens of Bandung tried to find any way to fought back and then finally, they had that chance. Their spirit rose and they tried to fight back.

The citizens were not willing to give up their land to the invaders. They planned to scorched earth Bandung in order to save their home land. They knew that their power wasn’t as powerful as their enemies so scorching their land was the only possible way to defeat or at least prevent the Allies to own them.

Chaos started to happen in Bandung along with other tragedy, like the destruction of Cikapundung Bridge. At that time, Bandung was divided into two parts. North Bandung and South Bandung. North Bandung was the part of Bandung that was being invaded by the Allies, while the citizens stay in South Bandung. Due to the chaoses that had been done by the Allies and NICA, the Citizen’s Security Force did an attack to the enemies’ headquarters, Homann Hotel and Preanger Hotel.

The Allies ordered to clear Bandung as far as eleven kilometers. Although, the citizens did not stay down. They decided to have the city burned down so the Allies could not invade the other half of the city. There were fights before that, but after the city burned down from edge to edge, there was nothing left of it for the Allies to invade or own. They were planning to make Bandung as their weapon warehouse.

The citizens of bandung left their houses, their belongings to save their city with the lead of one of the most famous Indonesian hero, Muhammad Toha. They had won the war. Because of this occation, a song called Halo-Halo Bandung was made without any clear author. This song then was written officially later.
